Play Therapy

The aim of Play Therapy workshop at MINDSIGHT CLINIC is improved communication and understanding between the child and his parents.

Other goals include improved verbal expression, ability for self-observation, improved impulse control, more adaptive ways of coping with anxiety and frustration, and improved capacity to trust and to relate to others.

The use of art as therapy in the workshop at malad is used by us is to use the natural creative process as a means of reconciling emotional conflicts and of nurturing self-awareness and personal growth.

In this type of therapy at MINDSIGHT CLINIC, the therapist uses an understanding of cognitive development and of the different stages of emotional development as well as the conflicts when treating the child.

The purpose of this workshop at malad is to provide participants a comprehensive introduction to Play Therapy and to teach participants the principles and techniques for conducting all aspects of Play Therapy with children.

Duration – 1 day

Emphasis - The emphasis throughout the course is a training yourself to:

  • Using toys for family projection
  • Supervised practice
